Many parents observe that their kids possess a comfort level with gender diversity, and as parents, we also wish to become more “gender literate.” This talk will focus on understanding the role gender identity and gender expressions play at various stages in a child’s development.
About Our Speaker
Dr. Ehrensaft is a developmental and clinical psychologist, researcher, adjunct professor of Pediatrics at UCSF, and Director of Mental Health at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Child and Adolescent Gender Center. She is the author of two books, The Gender Creative Child (2016), and Gender Born, Gender Made (2011), and co-author with Dr. Michelle Jurkiewicz of the forthcoming book, Gender Explained.
